Bert Bush, 86, of Prairie Village, KS passed away January 31, 2016. Her wish was to have friends and loved one's gather at Loose Park Rose Garden when the roses are in full bloom and those arrangements will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to Pets for Life in Kansas City. Bert was born in Picher, Oklahoma. She moved to KC with her father in 1945. She graduated from Sunset Hill and pursued degrees in Education and Music from Bradford Junior College in Massachusetts and MU in Columbia. She received her Master's in Education from UMKC. For most of her career, she was Guidance Counselor at Central Middle School in KC. Her students and fellow teachers remember her as a mentor and for being a champion for quality education. Her daughter Deb remembers her as being of service to people. She taught piano lessons in her home for many years and is best remembered for her "rock the house" rendition of Bumble Boogie. She created beautiful gardens and in her life was never without at least one pet in her life.She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother Dr. E Albert and Louise Walsh Aisenstadt and mother Helen Johnson. She is survived by her daughter Deb and sister Joanne and brother George.
