Alberta Noalene Newsom

ALBERTA NOALENE NEWSOMAlberta Noalene Newsom, 95, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away peacefully April 19, 2016. She was born July 17, 1920 in Kansas City, Mo. to Basil and Hazel (Bennett) Tinsley.
A woman ahead of the times, Noalene was heavily involved in her familys business, Kansas City Salvage Pool, from 1963-1994. Everyday joys included cooking, baking, reading, and shopping; however, her most notable passion was spending time with friends and family.
Noalene is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth Edward (m. August 31, 1940), two brothers (William James and Robert Leland) and son Edward Robert Newsom. She leaves a daughter, Janet (Walter) Majewski; daughter-in-law Patricia Newsom; five granddaughters, Beth (Kevin) Schasteen, Lisa Majewski-Dinkel, Carrie (Trey) Sebus, Tracy (Jeff) Dillon and Ashley (Adam) Herndon; and 11 great grand children.
Visitation is 11a.m.-12 p.m. Friday, April 22 at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave., KCMO, 64131. Burial immediately following at Forest Hill Cemetery.
