Raytown, MO- Alice Marie Darge, 34 passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City.
Alice was born in West Allis, WI on January 5, 1990 to Wendy L. Darge and Eric J. Peterson.
Alice had a creative mind, seeing beauty in things others saw to be junk. She had a flare for abstract art and loved painting anything to restore the beauty she saw within it. Let’s not forget her love for Star Wars and Alice in Wonderland. She was Alice, interacting with the madness of this crazy world.
Alice’s children describe their mother as extremely understanding, free to talk with her about anything without feeling afraid or judged, funny, and showing her love for them in her own way. Alice’s family would describe her as a strong, stubborn, self-sufficient, brave, independent woman. She loved her family and kept them safe by staying distant from the world she knew. Her close friends describe Alice as a charismatic, give-the-shirt-off-her-back, ride-or-die friend. If you were one of the lucky ones to experience her soul-comforting ability, you were truly blessed.
She is survived by her children Cecelia and Myles Casey; her mother Wendy (Pat) Darge-Parker; her father Eric Peterson; her maternal grandparents Alice (Joseph) Briere and Russell Darge and her paternal grandfather Glenn Brown. Alice is further survived by aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Peggy Brown.
Services for Alice will be held privately.
May you rest in peace mother, daughter, niece, granddaughter, and friend. It is our time to continue our journey on earth, trying to pass on those qualities we love most about you. We look forward to seeing you when our time comes. Save us a seat, because we’re sure God has plans for you to greet us with your beautiful smile.
