Amelia Dunagan

d. September 5, 2024

Lone Jack, MO

Amelia Evelyn Dunagan was born on September 5, 2024 at 11:19 a.m. at Overland Park Regional Hospital weighing 8.6 oz and only 9 inches long to Reagan & Sarah Beth Dunagan of Lone Jack, MO. Amelia went home to be with our Lord at 12:46 p.m. on September 5, 2024. Amelia’s name was chosen by her parents months before they met her. Amelia is a royal name and one meaning hard working and industrious. Evelyn means wished for child and highly desired.

Amelia had such a profound impact on so many people’s lives in her short 90 minutes on earth. Even though she arrived 19 weeks ahead of schedule she was breathing on her own, knew the sound of her parents' voice and made sure she waited until her mother was out of surgery before she passed in her arms. She taught us in her short life that it is important to always work hard regardless of the circumstances and the outcome.

Amelia only knew love while she was on this earth. She was protected from the cruelties of this world. Her daddy had the honor of baptizing, rocking and singing over Amelia. He told her the names of every family member who loved her dearly. She is survived by her parents, Reagan & Sarah Beth Dunagan, brothers Remington & Riley Dunagan; Grandparents Benny & Paula Wynn of Maryville, MO; Ron & Sheila Dunagan of Malakoff, TX; Great Grandparents Dewey & Marilyn Young of McAllen TX; Virginia Dunagan of Leander, TX; Carol Wilson of Spencer, OK; J. Allen & Sherrye Kuhn of Springfield, MO; J. Ben Wynn, of Burlington Junction, MO; Uncles & Aunts Nick & Shaye Wynn, Devan & Heather Baur, Ryan & Abigail Dunagan; Cousins Oakley, Eli, Willie, Campbell, Rhodes, Cooper & Lawson and many many additional extended family members. She was preceded in Death by her Great Grandfather, ret. Col Eddie Dunagan, Great Grandmother Sharon Wynn.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Overland Park Regional Hospital for their love, attention and care to our family during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers the family would request that we all treat each other with the depth of kindness to one another that has been extended to our family during this time. This is how we want to honor Amelia.
