Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 26, 2015 at Cure of Ars Catholic Church where friends may call after 12:30pm. Rosary prayed at 1:00 pm, immediately followed by the funeral mass and burial in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in Andreas honor to Childrens Mercy Hospital. Mrs. ODonnell was born April 11, 1933 in Kansas City, MO. She graduated Redemptorist High School and Rockhurst College. She spent her career in the medical profession until she began the best job she ever had as a devoted wife and mother to 5 children. After her family was raised, she became a volunteer at Childrens Mercy Hospital South where she was everyones grandma. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. ODonnell, her daughter, Mary Agnes ODonnell and her son, Michael Jude ODonnell and siblings Joseph Byrne, John Jack Byrne and Mary (Byrne) Bruno. Survivors include her children, Mary Therese ODonnell of Overland Park, KS, Matthew ODonnell and wife Janel of Lenexa, KS and Irene ODonnell of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Isabella, Will Hugh, Maxmillian Augustus Gus, Rory and Henry ODonnell; and brother Jerry Byrne. The family would like to thank Dr. A Cosmo Caruso, Heartland Hospice and adopted daughter Nancy Cimino for the extraordinary care they gave mom. We know she is home with God and her loved ones.
