Brian Francis Tarwater, "The Duke", passed away at the age of 45 on September 4, 2016 of natural causes. He is preceded in death by his father Daniel Thomas Tarwater Jr, several uncles including his favorite Uncle Ed (UE) and his grandparents Thomas and Mary Shine, Daniel and Delia Tarwater. Brian is survived by his mother Mary Margret Tarwater, siblings Daniel Tarwater III (Paula), Sean Tarwater (Lexie), Terry Tarwater (Jenny) and Molly Carmadella (Nick). He adored his role of "Uncle Brian" and loved his nieces and nephews with all his heart: Abby, Danny, Mitch, Sean Jr, Brandon, Kevin, Dylan and Raegan. His beloved dog Maggie misses him already. Brian was born in Kansas City on August 17, 1971. He attended St. Thomas More Grade School and Rockhurst High School. He graduated Cum Laude from University of Missouri, Columbia with a degree in Accounting where he was an Alpha Tau Omega. "BT" was one of a kind. Amongst Brian's most memorable achievements were: as a free lance writer for USA Today, running impromptu skits, getting VIP status, and turning a good party into a GREAT party. He had a zest for life unmatched. In the words of those we have heard from this week, we remember "his powerful laugh", "the light in his eyes", "the way he could run a room like no other", "accepting of everyone", "happy, fun, guy we all loved to hang around". He never knew a stranger. He will by missed by so, so, so many. Visitation will be on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 9:00 at St. Thomas More 11812 Holmes, Kansas City, MO 64131.
