There is a great disturbance in the force…

Brian Patrick Hodes, age 53, passed away on April 22, 2025, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Brian was born on March 20, 1972, in Kansas City, MO, to Steve and Susan Hodes. He grew up in Leawood with his three siblings. He attended Cure of Ars Catholic School and graduated from Rockhurst High School in 1990. He was student at the University of Kansas where he met the love of his life, Heather.

Heather and Brian were married on November 4, 1995, in Fort Benning, Georgia. Together they raised three children: Connor, Nick, and Grayson, as part of the St. Ann’s family until they moved to Missouri.

Brian was the most incredible husband, father, son, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend that anyone could ask for. He was beloved by all who knew him, including his work family at Jay Wolfe Acura, where he was the Service Manager for many years.

He will be forever remembered for his positive energy, infectious laugh, and his vast love for a galaxy, far, far away.

Brian is survived by his wife, Heather, and their three children: Connor, Nicholas, and Grayson. He is also survived by his parents, Steve and Susan Hodes; his siblings, Steve (Neysa), Cari (Scott), and Katie (Garrett), and his many nieces and nephews.

The Rosary will be prayed on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Cure of Ars Parish, 9401 Mission Rd, Leawood, KS, at 10:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow, beginning at 11:00am. The burial will be immediately following at Forest Hill & Calvary Cemetery, 6901 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO. There will be a reception at Cure of Ars after the burial.
