Carol Blum, 81, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Born on December 11, 1942, in Kansas City, Kansas, Carol was the daughter of Ignacio and Josephene Flores. She attended Loretto High School and Kansas City Kansas Junior College. Carol met the love of her life Paul when she attended Loretto Academy and he attended DeLaSalle, through a blind date. Their connection was instant, and they were married on May 4, 1963. Together, they raised two wonderful sons, Brent and Mike, creating a home filled with love, devotion, and joy.

 Carol's life was centered around her family, and she cherished every moment with them. Brent is married to Lynn, and they have two married children, Ryan (Katherine) and Jennifer (Brandon) Aubry. Carol has one great grandson Colton Aubry. Mike is engaged to Holly Ward and has one son William. Carol was proud of her family’s accomplishments and the strong, close-knit family bond they maintained over the years. Both her sons went to St. Thomas More School, Rockhurst High School and graduated from college.

 Carol worked for Farmers Insurance Group in Kansas City for most of her career. She and Paul were active members of St. Thomas More Parish for 58 years. Carol's devotion to her family, her faith, and her friends was evident to all who knew her. She was a woman of warmth, and love.

 Carol will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and in the countless hearts she touched throughout her life.

 A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Thomas More Parish, 11822 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO 64131, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place immediately after Mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Holden, MO.
