Carol Winsby

    Carol Winsby, age 68, of Kansas City, Missouri passed April 22, 2023 at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri. Carol was born May 30, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri to George and Arthea (North) Saller.

   Carol graduated high school from Shawnee Mission South and then went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in business accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). She was employed for many years at Seton Center. In her later years, she was a self-employed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

    Carol was a member of Community Christian Church. She enjoyed reading books and also listening to audio books. In her spare time, you could find her watching mystery movies and comedy sitcoms on television. Carol was also the proud parent of her cat, Anna.

    Preceding her in death were her parents: George and Arthea Saller; husband: Lawrence Bryan Winsby; her daughter: Amelia “Molly” Winsby; and nephew George Robison.

    Survivors include son: Lawrence Jacob “Jake” Winsby; sister: Dorothy Saller; brothers: Richard and Arthur Saller; 7 nieces and nephews; and one grandnephew.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Alliance on Mental Health (Johnson County Branch); Tall Oaks Campground; or Community Christian Church.

    Carol was a loving mother, wife, and sister. She was loved by her family and will be missed dearly.

Memorial services for Carol and her daughter Amelia “Molly” will be held at Community Christian Church, 4601 Main St. Kansas City, MO 64112 on August 26, 2023 at 1:00pm
