Carrie A. Storms

Carrie A. Storms, 77, passed away October 4, 2014 following an extended illness. Visitation will be Friday, October 10th from 9:30am to 11:00am at St. Bernadette?s Church, 9020 E. 51st Ter, Kansas City, MO 64133, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at the Church. Entombment will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery in Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Bernadette?s.

Carrie was born May 21, 1937 to Frank & Geneva Mingrone. She was a graduate of Holy Rosary Grade School in northeast Kansas City and Manual High School in Kansas City. On October 6, 1956, she was married to Ralph N. Storms, who survives. After raising her children, she worked for the Don Bosco Senior Center. She is survived by her husband Ralph, sons; Michael Storms (Mary Pat) & Frank Storms, daughter Jo Ann Harrison (Ron), sisters; Grace Mary Molinaro & husband Gene, Clarene Haas, Jeanne DiMartino & husband Carl, Grace Rose Sanders & husband George, & Mary Kimberlin & husband Jerry, grandchildren; Matthew Harrison, Marc Harrison, Frank Storms, Jr., Katie Storms (Johnny Vines) Melissa Storms (Brandon Jones,) Christopher Storms (Cora,) Molly Storms & Maximilian Storms, great grandchildren; Penelope Vines, Vivian & Sebastian Jones; nieces Mary Jo Tidrow (Dick) Angela Termini (Chuck) Debbie Korona, Carol Haas, Jeana Stark (John,) Paul Jo Rotert, Barbara Hosman(John,) Jennifer Kimberlin (Ron,) nephews Phil Rizzuti(Sue,) Anthony Rizzuti, Chuck Haas (Celeste,) Frank Haas (April,) James Haas, Carl DiMartino, Stephen Sanders (Sara,) James Molinaro (Florence) & numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Anna Rizzuti, brothers-in-law Louis Rizzuti and Charles Haas and nephews Jay Sanders and Louie Rizzuti.

Carrie was a devoted caretaker to her husband, Ralph. She loved cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs, the Royals, and her children and grandchildren?s teams from little league through college. No one ever left her home hungry or without a smile. She volunteered at St. Bernadette?s Church, as an Altar Angel and was a member of the Bernadette Buddies.
