Christopher 'Buck' Sulzer

Christopher M. "Buck" Sulzer, 47, passed away September 30, 2015. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Monday, October 5, 2015 at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO. Graveside services with military honors will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Leavenworth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society and/or the Lone Survivor Foundation. Chris was born June 3, 1968 in Kansas City, MO to C. Maynard and Sally Sulzer. He was a 1986 graduate of Rockhurst High School, received his degree in Political Science from the University of Kansas in 1990 via the Navy ROTC Scholarship Program. Chris was a Lieutenant in the US Navy from 1990-94 as the Surface Warfare Officer and the Operations Intelligence Division Officer on the USS Callaghan DDG994. He worked as the Senior Manager, Supply Chain at Corbion. Chris is survived by his sons, Nick and Drew Sulzer; Jan Crosby; his parents, C. Maynard and Sally Sulzer; a brother, Steve Sulzer and wife Collene; sisters, Mary Ann Gruber and husband Mark, Susan Smith and husband Wayne; 22 nieces and nephews; many in-laws; and his loyal friend Roscoe.
