Christopher Edward Burgess died at his home in Kansas City, Missouri on August 7, 2020. He was born on May 30, 1989 in Kansas City, Missouri. The son of Steve Burgess and Mary Lou (Thompson) Burgess. He had one sister, Beth (Burgess) King.
He grew up in Lees Summit, Missouri. Attended Underwood Elementary, Campbell Junior High and Lees Summit North High School. Upon receiving his GED, he attended culinary school. He played on Pop Warner football and Lees Summit youth baseball. He loved to be with his friends and family, but most of all his passion was cooking. He worked for several restaurants in the area. He also had the opportunity of meeting two TV chefs, Alton Brown and Michael Simon. His other favorite pastime was the Chiefs and the Royals. Of course, he always tailgated and was in charge of the grill.
He was preceded in death by Edward Burgess (Paternal Grandfather), Timothy and Bill Burgess (Paternal uncles), Anne and Victor Thompson (Maternal Grandparents), Carole Jones (Maternal aunt) and Baby Conglio (Maternal uncle). Survivors include parents Steve and Mary Lou Burgess, sister Beth King (Brandon}, nephew Brooks King, Charlotte Burgess (Paternal Grandmother) and many other relatives. He will be missed by all, especially his dog, Bowe.
