Cynthia Ann Booth was born to Shirley J. Mann and Thomas Garrett in Kansas City on December 5, 1947. She spent many years working at Blue Hills Homes Corporation, where she played an integral part in helping fulfill the company’s mission to revitalize, improve neighborhoods and enhance quality of life through innovative solutions in housing, education, community engagement and advocacy. After a fulfilling career at Blue Hills Homes Corporation, Cynthia went to work at Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center, where she worked a number of years until her retirement. She was a dedicated mother to her three children and worked equally as hard to give them each a good quality of life and upbringing. She could also swing a mean switch, but only when necessary, to serve as corrective action, if one or more of her children were deserving of such. Cynthia loved the Lord dearly and was member of Grace Baptist Church. Her gentle voice and spirit will be forever remembered by the many people, whose lives she touched during her lifetime. Cynthia was preceded in death by her mother and father and is survived by her children, Stephen (Lisa) Mansaw, Adrian (Marquise) Mansaw and Cheron Carter, along with seven grandchildren, Arielle (Hassan) Mansaw, Adrian Mansaw Jr., Sydney Mansaw, Alexus House, Micah Loyd, Christian Robinson, Erion Mansaw and one great grandson Giovanni Amato and a host of relatives.
