Danny Mark Tucker

      Danny Mark Tucker, age 77, of Lee’s Summit, MO was born on August 28, 1946, in Kansas City, MO, a son of Marquise Earl and Artell Florence (Walton) Tucker, and passed from this life on Tuesday March 26, 2024.

     He is survived by his wife, Anita Marie (Anch) Tucker, who were united in marriage on January 2, 1971, in Kansas City, MO.

     Danny served in the Army from 1966-1968 and was a Vietnam War veteran, an Expert Rifleman, and decorated with the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal (1^st Award), One (1) Overseas Bar, Vietnam Service Medal, two (2) Bronze Stars, and a Vietnam Campaign Medal. After the service, he worked various occupations until becoming a machinist at Bendix (Honeywell) in 1978, retiring in 2014. 

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Jane Elizabeth (Tucker) Graham.        

     Danny is survived by nine sons; Michael (Tracy) of Kearney, Christopher (Ann) of Lee’s Summit, Jason of Grandview, David of Independence, Matthew (Danielle) of Lee’s Summit, Stephen (Kelly) of Lee’s Summit, Daniel (Amanda) of Lee’s Summit, Joshua (Lindsey) of Lee’s Summit, and Joseph of Lee’s Summit; 20 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

     Services for Mr. Danny Tucker will be held on Saturday, April 6^th at Our Lady of the Presentation in Lee’s Summit, MO. A Rosary will be held at 9:15am followed by the visitation and Mass at 11:00am.

     Memorials can be sent to Our Lady of the Presentation. Donations in his honor can be made to Bishop Sullivan Center or Mother’s Refuge.
