From the moment he came into this world, David brought a special light with him. Born with Down’s Syndrome, he defied limitations and embraced life with a heart full of happiness. He attended Trails West High School and graduated at the age 21, marking the beginning of a life filled with love and cherished moments.
David found purpose and joy in his work at the Foundation Workshop in Grandview, Missouri, where he dedicated 21 years of his life. His time spent in the workshop was not just about work; it was about forming friendships, sharing smiles, and creating a sense of belonging that touched the hearts of many.
Beyond his work, David enriched his days at the Jackson County Day Skills Program and the Nova Center, where he radiated his positivity and shared his warmth with all those around him. He had a love for simple pleasures - going out to eat, dancing, and attending parties; activities that brought him immense joy and allowed him to be among people, spreading his contagious happiness.
David's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him. His sister, Kimberly Gorman, brother Anthony Nelson, stepsister Chery Evans, and stepbrother David Trayford hold memories of David close to their heart and will forever cherish the moments they shared together.
