Donald Gene Lindmark

Gene Lindmark, 88, of Kansas City, MO passed away August 20, 2014. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 25 at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO; followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Gene was born April 4, 1926, the son of Bert and Agnes (Lynn) Lindmark in Kansas City, MO. Gene joined the United States Army in 1951 and received an honorable discharge. He worked for the United States Post Office as a clerk and mail carrier, until his retirement. Gene was an avid reader of various types of books. He enjoyed watching classic TV shows and old westerns. Gene also loved a great meal with family and friends.

Gene is survived by his wife of five years, Alice Lindmark; daughter, Eileen Jones and husband Michael; daughter, Shirley Lindmark; son, Victor Lindmark and wife Jacquelyn; step-children, Diane Elliott and husband Richard, James Whitney and wife Jeanette, Debra Whitney, Foster Jones and wife Elnora, Keith Jones and wife Cherette, Barbara Adams and husband Gregory; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
