Donna L. Rupert

Donna Louise Harrison Rupert, 79, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully on Monday, October 17, 2016. Donna was born on May 5, 1937 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Jay and Louise Harrison, she was the oldest of two children. Donna graduated from College High School in Bartlesville, Oklahoma then attended the University of Oklahoma.
In 1956, Donna married the late Richard Don King with whom she had three sons. In 1979, Donna re-married Jack Rupert to whom she was married for 37 years. She is survived by her husband Jack, her sons Rick and his wife Nelda of Owasso, OK, Rob and his wife Beth of Raleigh, NC, Mike and his wife Kelly of Seattle, WA, stepdaughter Arlette and her husband Bill, stepson Neal both of Youngstown, Ohio. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren Erin, Matthew, Alex, Harrison and his wife Alyssa, Max and his wife Jenny, Caroline, Parker, Conner, Lucas, Rory, Erika and Jason and a great grandson Hudson. She is also survived by her brother Jerry and his wife Evelyn of Tulsa, OK as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her stepson Bryan.
Donna worked in banking for over 20 years beginning as a teller, moving to loan processor and under-writer, and Mortgage Loan Department Manager. She retired from Hillcrest Bank in 2002. Donna cherished her time with family and cooking for the entire crew, especially baking, it was not uncommon to have 2 pies, a cake and cookies. She loved road trips exploring our wonderful country but when at home she cherished her beloved cats.
Funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost, Kansas City, Missouri. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation in honor of her father or to the Wounded Warriors Project as she was a very patriotic American, or Wayside Waifs as she was an animal lover.
