Donna Marie Kelley

Donna Marie Kelley, 67, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2017, at KU Medical Center. Donna was born May 23, 1950, in Kansas City, MO, the second of three children of Donald F. and Ruth M. Dekat. Donna is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Kent Kelley. Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Noah (Jason), and two grandchildren: Katelyn and Zachary Noah. She also leaves two brothers, Joseph (Leona) and Patrick (Susan) Dekat.
Donna attended Saint Teresa Academy and went on to graduate from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Speech and Hearing Science. She later went on to achieve a degree in Data Processing followed by a career in computer programming. She was a dedicated, hard worker who was fiercely loyal to her family and friends. She loved baking with her grandkids and all forms of crafting and collecting. Always a pet lover, she shared her home throughout the years with many four-legged family members, including her most recent companion of 14 years, Maggie. Donna showed grace and strength while bravely fighting Multiple Myeloma cancer.
Funeral Service will be conducted by Father Ron at Saint John Lalande, 805 NW R D Mize Rd. Blue Springs, MO 64015, at 10:30 a.m. on July 28th with private burial of cremains. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or donate blood to the Community Blood Center of Kansas City.
