Doris M. Walker

Doris M. Walker, 93, of Overland Park, KS passed away peacefully July 23, 2015. Visitation will be held from 10-11am Saturday, August 1st at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO followed by funeral services at 11 am. Interment will be at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Continua Hospice, 7611 State Line Rd #202, Kansas City, MO 64114.Doris was born October 31, 1921, in Cameron, MO. She worked for the Kansas City Star prior to her marriage. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Howard Walker, in 2013. Doris was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother. She is survived by her son, Ronald L. Walker and her daughter, Mary Ann McConnell and husband Jack. She was a kind and caring person throughout her life, going out of her way to make life better for others. Doris was blessed with six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren whom she deeply loved.
