Dorothy E. Senzee

Dorothy E. Senzee, 99, of Raytown, MO passed away December 12, 2015. Visitation will be at 10a.m. Saturday, December 19th followed by the Service at 11a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church 8240 Blue Ridge Blvd Kansas City, MO 64138. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Peace Lutheran Church or Beautiful Savior in lieu of flowersDorothy was born August 26, 1916, the daughter of Arthur and Ethel (Bird) Hicks, in Kansas City and was raised in Blue Summit, MO with her older brother and older sister. It was in Kansas City that she met her husband, Eric Reinhold Brauner. They were married August 8th 1937, a bond that lasted 39 years. From that union they were blessed with one child Donna and foster parents to several children. She was remarried July 1st, 1980 to Nestor J. Senzee. Dorothy enjoyed her sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family. She was a devout member of Peach Lutheran Church in Kansas City, MO.She was preceded in death by her husband, Eric Brauner of 39 years. Also she was preceded in death by her late husband Nestor Senzee of 11 years. She is survived by her daughter Donna (Brauner) and husband Robert Lewis. Three grandchildren Rodney, Jeff (Tracy) and Jeremy (Sarah) Lewis. Five great-grandchildren Britney, Rachael, Matthew, Jonathon, and Madison. The family would like to thank the caregivers of Crossroads Hospice of Kansas City for providing compassionate care in her final days.
