Dorothy Lorraine Hazen

On June 13, 2016 Dorothy L. Hazen went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family at home. Born on January 3, 1920 she was a long time resident of Kansas City and a true Royals fan. For many of her years she served local residents at Gaetanos Italian Restaurant.
She is survived by her son, Jim Rogers of Broomfield, Colorado and her daughter, Katie McCandless of the home. She also had 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren that she cherished.
We want to offer special thanks to all of the staff and volunteers of Kansas City Hospice. You are amazing.
Friends may call from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening with a service to follow the visitation at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64131. Dorothy will be laid to rest at Leavenworth on Friday with family escorting her on her final journey.
