E. Jane Keller, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024. She was born on July 18, in Kansas City, Missouri as the middle child of Bill and Madelyn McNary. Jane's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
Jane dedicated her life to caring for her family as a stay-at-home mom. Her commitment to both her family and friends exemplified her nurturing and hardworking nature. Her education journey took her from Hogan High School to St. Teresa's Academy, where she graduated with the Class of 1957. Jane held dear the friendships she made during this time and cherished the weekly reunions with her high school classmates known as the "Tuesday Coffee Group."
Jane met Pat, one of the Keller twins in high school and married in November of 1960. Pat passed away in September of 2008. They raised their family in St. Thomas More Parish. In her leisure time, Jane found joy at the family cabin at the Lake of the Ozarks with family and friends. She enjoyed time with her sisters-in-law, Pat, Kitty & Kathy, shopping, long conversations on the phone, and playing bridge with friends—although it was the camaraderie she valued most during these bridge gatherings.
She leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of those who survive her: Jennifer Petree (Chris), Patrick (Marilyn), Marion Brekke (Todd), Michael (Kate); thirteen grandkids Madelyn, Ellie, John, Tom, Lizzy, Mary, Will, Jack, Sarah, Meg, Molly, Luke, Olivia; brother John (Lee) McNary and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Kathy and Jack Newman. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Services to celebrate Jane's life will be held on Thursday, April 18th at St. Thomas More Church in Kansas City. A visitation and rosary will take place at 10:00 AM followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM. The address for the location is 11822 Holmes Rd in Kansas City.
In loving memory of Jane Keller – her kindness and laughter touched many lives and will live on through those she loved. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Teresa’s Academy or St. Thomas More Church.
