Elizabeth M. Miller, 93, of Overland Park, passed away on December 27th at Grace of Leawood Assisted Living Facility. Visitation will be Friday, January 2nd at 10:30, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 at Holy Cross Church, 8311 W. 93rd Street, Overland Park, KS. Private interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Elizabeth was born on April 4, 1921, in Kansas City, MO, to Joseph and Anna Vogl. She married Charles F. Miller on June 1, 1946. He preceded her in death on November 1, 1973. Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Josephine "Do Do" Kupersmith and husband Robert; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Helen Hoole; niece, Carol Strong; and her lifelong friend, Dorothy Williamson.
Elizabeth was a member of the Saint Joseph Health Center Auxiliary and a volunteer at the hospital for many years. Liz was an avid supporter of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren?s endeavors, never failing to offer encouragement and praise. She was most proud of their various achievements.
Survivors include daughter, Donna Heit and husband Bernard; son, William and wife Kathy; daughter, Nancy Callaway and husband Bryant; three grandchildren, Andrew Heit, Amy Morfeld and husband Michael, Timothy Heit and wife Mary; two step grandchildren, Charlie McCord and wife Stephanie, Mary Barsotti and husband Jules; nine great-grandchildren; Justin and Collin Heit, Mollie, Emily and Allie Morfeld, Jackson, Lily, Isabella and Sophia Heit; and two step great-grandchildren, Emmy and Leo Barsotti.
The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Grace of Leawood and Crossroads Hospice for their kind, compassionate and gentle care. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Holy Cross Catholic Church.
