Fae Morgan

Ruple Fae Quinn Morgan, age 88, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City Mo. Her memorial service will be held 3 pm Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at Second Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, Mo. Inurnment will be at Memory Gardens in Nederland, TX. Memorial contributions may be given to Armour Oaks Senior Living Community?s resident computer fund or Forest Avenue Family Shelter, 4300 Forest Ave, Kansas City Mo 64110.

Fae was born Jan. 9, 1927 in Glenmora, LA to Ruple Edward Quinn and Florence Hogan Quinn. She married Buren Windes Morgan Oct. 4, 1952 and lived in Port Arthur, TX, until she moved to Kansas City in 1999. She was a homemaker and cared for elderly friends and family. She enjoyed 15 years residing in the Armour Oaks community, where she delivered bananas to residents and enjoyed walking. Fae was a member of Wornall Road Baptist Church and helped feed the homeless monthly at Forest Avenue Family Shelter. Her life was enriched by the many friendships she developed after her arrival in "Missoo-rah," as she termed it. Fae was an unceasing advocate for those in need and her personal motto was "Help somebody!"

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buren Morgan, in 1982, and her sister, Artie Lynn Quinn Blackburn. She is survived by her daughter Martha Pruitt Morgan of Kansas City, Mo; sons Robert Buren Morgan of Tulsa, OK and Paul Alan Morgan of Beaumont, TX; and four grandchildren: William Macy Pruitt, Margarette Morgan Pruitt, Kenneth Luke Morgan and Matthew Robert Morgan.
