Frank Rauch, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away at the age of 85 on October 23, 2014 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Frank is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Patricia in 1994; daughter, Janice Peurrung in 2010; twin sister, Rita West; brothers, Paul Joe Rauch and Jimmy Rauch; and sister, Joann Vannice. He is survived by his daughter, Anne Rauch; his son, Joe (Melody) Rauch; a son in law, Pete Peurrung, four grandchildren, Emily (Kevin) Lorenz, Michael (Laura) Peurrung, Maggie (Steve) Schuh and Elizabeth "Elle" Rauch; four great-grandchildren; Lily, Henry, Michael and Violet.
Frank was born October 9, 1929, the son of Paul and Stella (Howe) Rauch, in Kansas City, MO. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Patricia Ann (McCaffrey) on May 11, 1957. Frank?s primary passion was his family (especially children and grandchildren), but he also loved playing golf, specifically at Louisburg Golf Course and Longview Lake Golf Course. He enjoyed the game for over 40 years, made life-long golf friends and was fortunate enough to have 3 holes-in-one! He was a dedicated Royals fan and loved watching every game on TV long before they made the playoffs this year.
Frank was a true "old school" salesman and he received numerous achievements and awards in his 36 years with Pharmacraft (Pennwalt) pharmaceutical company prior to retiring in 1991. A Regional Manager since 1977, Frank served as a Sales Representative, District Manager and Area Manager as well. Presented with numerous opportunities for further advancement if he moved, he never wanted to uproot his family or leave his beloved Kansas City.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4 at St. Francis Xavier Church, 1001 E. 52ndSt, Kansas City, MO. A private burial will be the following day for family members at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children?s Research Hospital.
