Gordon L. Reintjes

Gordon L. Reintjes, 82, passed away July 13, 2015. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm Friday, July 17th at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO where the rosary will be prayed at 6:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Saturday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 5250 Mission Rd, Roeland Park, KS. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. The family kindly requests no flowers and that memorial contributions be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church. Gordon was born in Kansas City, MO to Leo C. and Margaret C. Reintjes. He was a 1950 graduate of Rockhurst High School, attended Rockhurst College and proudly served in the US Coast Guard. Gordon retired after 25 years as a self-employed electrical contractor. He was a member of the IBEW Local #124, John Roe Council of the Knights of Columbus and St. Agnes Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Christianna Reintjes. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mary Louise Reintjes; children, Anne M. Smith and husband Frank, Leo C. Reintjes, II and wife Carolyn, Thomas A. Reintjes and wife Tonya, Mary M. Soler, John W. Reintjes, Jennifer L. Reintjes, James C. Reintjes and wife Jennifer; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Kearns and a brother, William T. Reintjes.
