Hedwig Cecelia Bensing

Hedwig Cecelia "Hedy" Bensing, age 83, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on April 4, 2017, at home with her loving husband and dear son by her side. Visitation will be at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 4101 E. 105th Terr, Kansas City, Missouri, on Saturday, April 8th at 10:00 a.m., with the Rosary prayed at 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Concluding the graveside service, the family invites friends and family back to St. Catherines for a luncheon.

Hedy was born on January 28, 1934, in Kansas City, Kansas, to George G. and Rose O. (Richstatter) Cook. Hedy was a kind and gentle wife and mother. She inspired her family wth her deep faith in the Lord. Hedy will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Rose, and her brother, Earl Cook. Hedy is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Walter Bensing; son, Joe Bensing; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Helen Cook; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
