Herbert J. Eldringhoff

Herbert J. Eldringhoff, 91, passed away March 30, 2015. Visitation will be held from 6-7:30pm, Tuesday, April 7th at Christ the King Church, 85th and Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00am Wednesday at Christ the King Church. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Herbert was born September 14, 1923 in Kansas City, MO to Herbert and Marie Eldringhoff. Herbert was always proud of his WWII Army service, especially his participation in the first wave assault on D-Day, Normandy France Omaha Beach. His service earned him three Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart.

Herbert married Thelma Jean Ellison. He is survived by his children, Jeanette McAllister and husband Jim, David Eldringhoff, James Eldringhoff and wife Marjie Gale; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Herbert was preceded in death by his brother, Fr. John Eldringhoff; sisters, Gerry Sanders and Mary Louise Aston.
