James Henry Bergner

James Bergner, 36, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away June 27, 2017. Visitation will be Monday, July 3rd from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm followed by the funeral service at 12:00 pm at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO 64131. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to The Bergner Memorial Fund to provide a secure future for his girls, c/o Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64131.Jim was born in Kansas City on November 19, 1980 to Michael and Joyce Bergner. As Runner Small Swift Whistling Black Hawk he was a proud member of The Tribe of Mic-O-Say and accomplished Eagle Scout. He enjoyed his time in marching and concert band, and graduated from Liberty High School (99) and went on to receive his Associates degree. He was a loving father, husband, brother, and son. He especially enjoyed the shared interest of super heroes with his daughter, and will be missed by "his girls" for his "lovins" and snuggles.Jim was a sweet man, with love of salt, embracing every spice of life. He was a loyal friend to all he met and spent his life making those around him happy. Stories of Jims antics and adventures will continue to bring joy and laughter to all who knew him. In particular, stories of Jims unique driving skills, and unique relationship to his cars will always bring a smile to friends and family. Jim was always a shining light to friends and family, and you could never be in a bad mood when you were around "Jim Bob." Jim was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, Vivian & Sam Bergner and Luther & Katherine Bell. He is survived by his parents, Mike his wife of 4 years, Teresa Bergner; his daughter & step-daughter, Lacey Bergner and Madison Urbanek; his sister, Karin (Eddie) Metcalf; niece and nephew Amelia and Aiden; and his brother, Brien Bergner. He will be missed by cousins, aunts, uncles, co-workers, friends, friends that felt like family, and many who were marked by such a special relationship with Jim.
