Janice L Pippin

Janice L. Pippin, 78, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at NorthCare Hospice House on Saturday April 15th, 2023. We will celebrate her life on April 29th , 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO, 64131.

Janice was born July 5th ,1944, in Yakima, Washington, to parents Paul C. and Lenia “Boots” Schrimpf. She had lived in Kansas City for the past 50 years. She worked in banking for many years, and then for the City of Lenexa and The Department of Commerce, Bureau of the Census for 15 years before retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Jody A. Roscoe, and her ex- husband and father to her children Hugh Allen Pippin. She is survived by son Michael K. (Elaine D.) Pippin and daughter Wendy E. Yarberry. She has two granddaughters, Margaret J. Payton, and Amanda G. Yarberry, and one great grandchild Ashlynn G. Payton. She is also survived by brothers Mark D. Schrimpf, John D. Schrimpf, and Charles B. Schrimpf, and sisters Elizabeth A. Schrimpf and Christinia D. Snow. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, including Michelle S. Tierney, who provided invaluable assistance this past year so that Janice could live independently at her beloved home.

Janice cast a light of love on the lives of all those she came in contact with. She will be missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to:
