Joan Allen

Joan Louise Allen passed away on January 19, 2019. Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Fri., January 25th at St Thomas More Church, 11822 Holmes Rd, KCMO, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 6pm.
Joan was born on January 21, 1929 in Chanute, KS to Francis and Mildred Connor. After moving to Kansas City, MO in 1941 she graduated from Lillis High School and married Kieffer Allen in 1946. Joan was a devoted mother to her six children and cherished by her 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kieffer, son Larry, and grandson John Allen; brothers Joe and James Connor and sister Kay Roe. She is survived by her sons Glenn (Charlene), Gary (Wendy), Keith (Linda), Don; daughter Barbara (Paul) Heschmeyer; sisters Marilyn Aunefeld, Margaret Woolsey; and brother Frank Connor. In lieu of flowers, Joan asked that donations be made to St. Peters Parish, 701 East Meyer Blvd, KCMO 64131.
