John (Jack) Joseph Sullivan, 90, and Barbara Jean (Coppinger) Sullivan, 82, passed away just 16 days apart. Barbara on March 21, 2015 and John on April 6, 2015. Memorial service will be 10 am, Saturday, April 18, 2015 with visitation at 9 am at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 5814 Euclid, KCMO 64130. John and Barbara were married on March 26, 1951. John was born to Joseph and Alice (Burns) Sullivan on July 10, 1924 in Chisholm, MN. He graduated from Colorado A&M after entering the U.S. Army in 1943 where he served in WWII. John worked the majority of his adult life in sales. He was preceded in death by his parentS, sister Margaret Pahl and brother Tom Sullivan. Barbara was born to John and Imelda (Gray) Coppinger on September 13, 1932 in KCMO. She attended the University of St. Mary. Her career included work in the print and film industry where she was an active member of SAG. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Johnny. Both John and Barbara were active members of their beloved church, St. Therese Little Flower. They are survived by 6 children; Maureen (Chris) Hinken, Colleen (Bill) Meehan, Sharon Sullivan, Michael (Laura) Sullivan, Lisa Coan, Sean (Cyndy) Sullivan, 14 grandchildren, Johns siblings; Joe (Char) Sullivan and Kathy (Brian) Mulligan. Barbaras siblings; Tom (Virginia) Coppinger, Louise (Larry) Welling and Sheila Maloney. The family would like to thank the caregivers at KC Hospice House and St. Joseph Medical Center for the loving care that was given to John and Barbara in their last days.
