John Coleman

John C. Coleman, 88, passed away February 12, 2015. Visitation will be held from 1:30-3:00 pm Monday, February 16th at Christ the King Church, 85th and Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 3:00 pm. Private inurnment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Heartland Hospice.

John was born March 26, 1926 in Kansas City, MO to Carl and Erma Coleman. He was a member of the first graduating class of Lillis High School in 1944 and served during WWII in the US Navy. John married Jean (Schutte) Coleman in 1947 who survives of the home. He is also survived by his son, Jay Coleman and wife Christie; grandchildren, Jason Coleman and Sarah McDonald and husband Patrick. John was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Joseph.
