John F. Weixeldorfer

John F. Weixeldorfer, 67, passed away unexpectedly October 9, 2014. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm, Tuesday, October 14th at St. Thomas More Church, 11822 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 7pm. Private interment with military honors will be held at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his 1966 classmates, Dennis Green, John Donigan, Christopher Mitchell, Mike Gnefkow, Tom Kelly, and Coach Bob Bessenbacher. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the V.F.W.

John was born February 19, 1947 in Kansas City, MO to Fredrick and Frances Kramer. He was a 1966 graduate of Lillis High School. John then proudly served his country during Vietnam in the US Army where he received many decorations including two Bronze Stars.

John was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Deborah; children, Dr. Robert Weixeldorfer and wife Kelly; Renee Purcell and husband Chris; his loving grandchildren who loved their "papa", John, Elizabeth, Trey and Fredrick Weixeldorfer, Nicole and Nick Purcell; his brother, Edward Weixeldorfer; sisters, Cecilia Harris, Annette Bader and Cindy McCormack.
