Jonathan A. Macy

Jonathan A. Macy, 59, passed away suddenly on August 14, 2018. He will be missed by his father, Arthur A., stepmother, Geraldine Myers, brother, Arthur Jr. and wife Patti, nieces, Heather and Jennifer, and many friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Arlene H. in 1978.
Jon was born September 16, 1958 in Minneapolis, MN. He graduated from Memphis University and attended the University of Tennessee. He started his career with a store selling antique comic books in Nashville, TN but decided to concentrate on his first love, writing movies. He spent 10 years in L.A. and sold a number of scripts. Growing tired of this work, he returned home.
Visitation will be held, Monday, Aug. 20th, from 5-7 p.m.at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO 64131. Graveside burial will be in Meadville, MO on Tuesday, Aug. 21st. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
