Joseph C. Fagan

Joseph C. Fagan passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015. At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am at Cure of Ars Catholic Church Monday April 6, 2015. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Joe was born February 5, 1924 in Kelso, Washington to Joseph C. Fagan Sr. and Annetta Perkins Fagan. He graduated from Rockhurst High School and Rockhurst College.

During World War II, Joe served in the army in the Pacific. His fondest memories were of coaching his sons? baseball, football and basketball and father-son fishing trips to Canada with his cousin Bill Fagan Sr. He was active in civic affairs serving as president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of KC, and Printing Industries of America. He was a member of the Kansas City Club and the Jolly Timers Outdoor Club. He also enjoyed playing golf at Indian Hills Country Club for over 50 years.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, his sister - Marjorie Newman, an infant son - James Fagan, and grandson - Brian Fagan. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Kathleen Fagan, sons Joseph, Michael and Daniel Fagan (Cindy), daughter, Connie Reilly (Patrick), 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

The family suggests Memorial donations to Cure of Ars Catholic Church and Catholic Community Hospice.
