On November 17, 2020 Joseph passed into his eternity.
Joseph was born July 10, 1940 in Oklahoma City and grew up in Independence, MO. He attended St. Mary’s Grade and High School in Independence. He played baseball, basketball and football during his school years and was top scorer in Kansas City during his senior year of High School. He graduated from Rockhurst College and received a Masters Degree in Physics in 1967 from the University of Kansas.
On Aug. 22, 1964, Joseph married Mary Truman of Independence. They had two children, Terri Lynn and Paul Jay. Joseph worked for Western Electric then Bendix/Allied Signal/Honeywell, Kansas City as a Senior Staff Engineer.
He was a charitable man always giving to those in need. He enjoyed playing the piano and was an excellent photographer. He was always attentive to children.
Joseph was involved at The International House of Prayer of Kansas City and was on the staff of the Healing Ministry with his wife, Mary, for eleven years. He attended the Church of the Nativity in Leawood, KS.
Joseph and Mary moved to Dallas in 2014 where they were the Founders and Directors of Prayer Mountain Healing Ministry at Mountain Creek Community Church in Dallas.
Joseph was preceded in death by his son Paul J. Gracey, parents Maurice and Evelyn Gracey of Independence, MO, brother Michael Gracey of Kansas City. He is survived by his wife, Mary of Dallas and daughter, Terri Gracey Buffa and husband Michael, Overland Park, KS, brother James Gracey & wife Anthea, Aurora, Colorado, sister-in-law Evelyn Gracey of KC and many nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at Church of the Nativity, Leawood, Kansas on November 21, 2020.
