Joyce J Thorman

Joyce J. Thorman, 75, passed away November 24, 2022. Joyce was born in Kansas City, MO on March 23, 1947, to Russell H. and Dorothy J. (Seller) Coonce. She graduated from Center High School class of 1966. She worked for Wheatbelt Company for most of her career, until her retirement. Following her retirement, she was a school crossing guard for the Overland Park Police Department. She really enjoyed interacting with the kids. She loved animals and traveling to Florida spending time on the beach and reading. But most of all, she loved spoiling and spending time with her granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John R. Coonce and an infant grandson, Noah Leitterman. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Thorman; her son, Chris (Roxeanne) Thorman; four grandchildren; Dakota Marks, Skyler Leitterman, Krislyn Thorman and Chloe Thorman. Additionally, lots of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.

There will be a Visitation at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO 64131, on Thursday December 1st, 2022, from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 PM, followed by a graveside service at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS.
