Judith 'Judy' Kelly

Judith "Judy" Kelly, 75, passed away January 20, 2017, surrounded by family. Judy was born July 28, 1941 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Eileen (King) and John Thompson. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kelly, Jr.; her parents, John F. Sr., and Eileen Thompson; brothers, John F., Jr. and Richard Thompson. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret "Megan" Kelly; son, Robert "Bob" (Julie) Kelly III, and their daughters, Katie and Allison Kelly.
Judy worked in advertising in the Kansas City area before returning to her roots and love of education. She obtained multiple degrees later in life in literature and English. She was recognized for academic excellence in higher education and awarded in Phi Kappa Phi Society. She taught at the University of Missouri Kansas City and subsequently specializing in what she deemed her true purpose by instructing in English as Second Language. Judy, an accomplished writer, poet and playwright was published for her works numerous times.
