La Vena Mildred Loehr

La Vena Loehr, 82, Of Kansas City, MO passed away on December 26, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be at 12 p.m. Thursday, December 31st followed by a church service at 1 p.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 5705 Hwy Z. Edgerton, MO 64444. Immediately following services, she will be buried at Ridgely Community Cemetery 19990-20298 Hwy B, Edgerton, MO 64444. Memorial contributions may be given to Mount Zion Baptist Church.La Vena was born February 24, 1933 to her parents, Frank M. and Mabel A. Coston in Skidmore, MO. She went to high school in Skidmore. She met her husband, James "Jim" Oliver Loehr and they married February 19, 1955. They were married sixty-one wonderful years. She worked many years as an appliance dealer for R & L Maytag until she retired. La Vena had three children Joetta June Boydston, Charles Rodney Loehr and Randy Ray Loehr (deceased). She has seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. La Vena was a loyal member of Mount Zion Baptist. She belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star for fifty years. La Vena enjoyed playing card games and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Erlene Markum and Erma Bilby and brothers: Bill Coston and Bob Coston. La Vena is survived by her husband, Jim and her children, Joetta and her husband Marian Boydston and Charles "Rod" and his wife Choe Ann Loehr.
