Lenora H. 'Tuggie' Watters

On January 30, in the early morning, Lenora H. "Tuggie" Watters passed away peacefully in the loving care of KC Hospice House. She was 92 years of age.Tuggie was born January 6, 1924 to Walter Clinton "Pete" and Maude Bess (Smith) Henry. She and her inseparable sister "Sissy" grew up in St. Louis, MO where she met her future husband while working at AT&T. She married John W. Watters Jr., a widower with a young son, November 2, 1945 and started a family. They soon moved to Kansas City where they raised their children. Upon retirement, they built a house at Pomme de Terre Lake where they enjoyed their golden years. They loved fishing, birding and gardening together. After a time, they decided to move back to Kansas City to be nearer family.Tuggie was preceded in death by husband John Watters, sister Sissy Prosek, son Clifford Watters, and nephew Todd Prosek.Tuggie is survived by sons, Jack (Susie), Dennis (Sharon), Jim (Cheryl) and Greg (Jane); nephews, Kent and Tim Prosek; grandchildren, Bob, Tom, Jim, Peter, Chloe and Alexa; and great grandchildren, Anthony, Christyl, Boe, Matthew, and Mitchell.A private service is pending.The family has suggested a donation in Tuggie's name be made to the charity of your choice.
