Leonard F. Rickard left this life to feel the warm embrace of Jesus and to begin his eternal life on November 9th, 2024.
Even though he is no longer here, the experience he gave doctors keeps him in the fight against cancer. Every day is a learning experience for doctors, and the hope that they can get one step closer to a cure and give someone the chance to live their dreams.
Leonard was born June 3rd, 1949, in Milan, IN to John F. Rickard and Verna R. Rickard. He graduated in 1967 from Center High School, where he met the love of his life, Sandra M. Rickard (Walton). They were married in San Francisco on August 12th, 1969. To this union of love, 3 beautiful children were born. Patty Scholten (Chris), Diana Morey (Todd), and Marquis Rickard (Cyndi). Lenny served his country for 38 years. 4 years in the Navy and 34 years in the Army. Lenny spent his free time hunting, enjoying the outdoors, gardening, mixing drinks, and making people laugh.
Lenny leaves behind his wife, Sandy, a brother Gary (Christine), nieces Kourtney Brown, Rebecca Avenson.
