Linda Hammond, 72 of Kansas City, Missouri died on Sunday, September 4, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10th at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO 64114. A private burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, MO at a later date.Linda was born Sunday, July 23, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri to Norman Markus and Cecelia Markus. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Thomas Hammond, daughter, Angela (Jerry) Crisler, granddaughter, McKenna Crisler, brothers, Larry (Ann) Ryan, John Markus and Terrance Lee Markus, as well as a sister-in-law, Trudy (Don) Appleby. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Missouri Special Olympics at 1001 Diamond Ridge, Ste. 800, Jefferson City, MO 65109.
