LISA TAYLOR FRAZEN
Lisa Frazen passed away peacefully on June 3, 2016 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by loving family and friends and cared for by her team at Research Hospital and St. Lukes Hospice House.
Lisa was born in Denver Colorado to Harold and Anna Taylor on August 14, 1958. The youngest of three children she graduated from Heritage High School in Littleton Colorado. She was a proud graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder where she majored in business. After college she embarked on a career in advertising, but her real passion was art and design. This calling led her back to school and a degree in interior design and then a career in both commercial and residential interiors. While she enjoyed her professional career, what she enjoyed most was giving her time to friends who were looking for advice on a remodel or tips on decorating.
Lisa gave of her time selflessly by volunteering for her childrens schools and organizations such as the Kansas City Free Health Clinic and the Kansas City Art Institute. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and friend and always looking for ways to help others.
Lisas hands and mind were never idle, evidenced by her custom made jewelry business and her never ending love of gardening. She was a skier and hiker and thoroughly relished her time in the mountains of Colorado.
Lisa is survived by her husband Larry, her two children Sam and Kit, her mother Anna Taylor, sister Kathryn McGill, brother Thomas Taylor and wife Barb, nephews Joseph McGill and Paul McGill. Lisa was preceded in death by her father Harold Taylor.
The family wishes to express gratitude to the staff at Research Medical Center, especially Dr. Jaswinder Singh, Cindy Stevens and the entire care team at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center. They are angels.
Lisa maintained her grace and dignity through her courageous battle. Her positive attitude, spirit and stubbornness carried her family and friends through the difficult times. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends who are better people for having known her.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday June 9 at 11 am at Visitation Church. For those who want to join together in remembering Lisa, there will be a celebration of life immediately following at Indian Hills Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Pancreatic Action Network to help find methods for early detection of this terrible disease. Please specify the honoree at www.pancan.org or 1500 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 200, Manhattan Beach CA 90266.
