Loran C. Rose

Loran C. Rose, age 86, died July 27, 2017 at home in Weslaco, TX. He was born in Holly Springs, IA on April 19, 1931 to Clarence and Ora Rose. He lived most of his life in Lee's Summit, MO after marrying and raising his family in Kansas City, MO.He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Loran also retired from Rose's Wood Products in Lee's Summit, MO.Loran was a 32nd degree mason for over 57 years and served in the National Guard.He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.Loran is survived by his wife of 66 years, Clara Rose; son, Ken Rose and spouse; daughter, Kathy Rafiner and spouse. He has three grandchildren, Jennifer Rafiner-Jarboe and spouse, Becky Irvine and spouse, Daniel Rafiner and spouse; and four great grandchildren, Maxwell, Graeme, Sidney, and Finley.There will be a graveside service held at 1pm on Saturday, August 5th at Floral Hills East Cemetery, 25203 E US Hwy 50, Lees Summit, MO.
