Lorene A. Bott

Lorene Bott, 84, of Kansas City, MO passed away November 5, 2014, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 7th at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131; followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00. Inurnment will be at Mount Moriah Cemetery.

Lorene was born July 1st, 1930, the daughter of James and Della Maxwell, in Huston, MO. After, high school she went on to complete her nurse?s training at General Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She served the community with TWA, and continued at St. Joseph Hospital. It was in Kansas City that she met her husband, Joseph Bott. They were married on June 7th, 1963, a bond that has lasted 51 years. Lorene enjoyed friends, family, and especially her grandchildren whom she adored. She had many interests from gardening to watching football.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; and son. She is survived by her husband, Joe; son, Joe Bott II; daughter, Linda Blando and her husband Joe; four grandchildren, Brian, Steven, Brandon and Lauren.

The family would like to thank the caregivers, nurses, and volunteers, of St Luke Hospice House, for providing compassionate care in his final days. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
