Lucille A. Brady, 81, of Kansas City MO passed away January 11, 2015 surrounded by family. Luci was born to Joseph and Mary Peters August 19, 1933 in Conception MO, where she was raised. She attended Mt. Saint Scholastica College in Atchison, KS, then moved to Kansas City, where she worked for Skelly and General Motors. She wed her high school sweetheart Conrad M. Brady on November 6, 1954, beginning a love story that lasted until Con?s passing last May - nearly 60 years.
Luci devoted her life to others: she raised six children, cared for other family members, and volunteered at the children?s schools and Catholic churches she faithfully attended. Luci lived in Phillipsburg KS; Clay Center KS; Lee?s Summit MO; then back home to Kansas City. Along the way, Luci touched many lives and made many friends.
We will miss her tender heart; generous nature; sense of humor; and her delicious meals & desserts, especially her famous chocolate chip cookies! Hers will be a legacy of love, of caring for others, of trusting in God and cherishing family.
Lucille is once again with her husband Conrad, who preceded her in death in May, 2014. She is survived by loving children: Chris (Molly); Lori Collett (Bruce); Randy (Leanna); Phil (Cindy); Pat; and Megan Martinez(Greg); and her dear siblings, Edmund Peters(Vi) and Rosemary Berberick; 21 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Jerri Warden, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Rosary and Visitation will be Wednesday Jan. 14 from 6-8pm at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost, Kansas City. Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m.Thursday Jan. 15, St. Thomas More, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Thomas More Church Building fund.
