Lucille P. Piane

Lucille Piane, 89, of Kansas City, MO passed away August 3, 2014. Visitation will be from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO where Rosary will be prayed at 3:30pm. Services will be at 10AM on Monday August 11, 2014 at St. Elizabeth?s Catholic Church, 75th and Main Street, Kansas City, MO. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery, 6901 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer?s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.

Lucille (Lucia) was born on February 6, 1925 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Sam and Mary (Ferranti) Valenti. She was raised in Kansas City, the fourth of six children. She graduated from Northeast High School. She met her husband in 1944 while dancing at the Pla-Mor in Kansas City. Lucille and Lucian were married on October 10, 1945. In addition to a loving wife and mother, Lucille was an accomplished cook and an exceptional artist. They have five children.

She was preceded in death by both her parents and all of her siblings. She is survived by her loving husband Lucian and her five children, daughter Diane L. Rush and husband Tom D. Rush, daughter Carol E. Rupp and life partner James E. Harris, son Lucian Piane, Jr., son Gary G. Piane and wife Debra K. Piane and son John B.
