Margaret Hodes

Margaret Hodes born September 18, 1928 passed away on March 1, 2015 at the age of 86. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm with the Rosary at 5:00 pm at the Church of Ascension - 9510 West 127th Street in Overland Park, KS. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Church of the Ascension. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Margaret is survived by her husband Tom. Married on September 3, 1949 they enjoyed 65 years together. They are survived by their nine children - Michael (Nancy), Mary Ann Leiker (John), David (Debi), Peter, Susan Snodgrass (Michael), Matthew (Dina), Mark (Patti), Christopher (Marci), and Tony (laura).- 25 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Margaret was predeceased by her brother James Dougherty, S.J., and survived by her brother Peter Dougherty. The family would like to thank Kansas City Hospice for the care they provided to Margaret.

We are all comforted by the fact that our Mom is now in a far better place and free of her earthly shroud.
