Marilyn Rose Klug Turner born in Kansas City, Missouri, on February 27, 1927, to Margaret McCollester Klug and Arthur Klug passed away April 25, 2024, at age 97. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert McCollester, her husband Raymond E Turner and many other close friends and family members. She leaves a daughter Debbie and a son Steve. Marilyn went to St Vincent’s Catholic School and was proud to be in the first graduating class of Bishop Lillis High School in 1944. She worked clerical jobs at Pratt-Whitney, various insurance companies, and St. Augustine Catholic Church until it closed. Marilyn loved gardening, reading, playing pinochle, anything chocolate, A&W root beer, and Blue Bloods on Friday nights.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Country Home in the Chapel, 2115 Maturana Drive, Liberty, Missouri, 64068 on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 10:15am with Rosary at 9:45am and reception following mass. Burial will be at Mt. Moriah South at 2pm.
Special thank you to all staff at Our Lady of Mercy Country Home who showed such kindness and warmth. Marilyn enjoyed and was blessed to find this community of positive, caring Mercedarians, staff, residents, and volunteers. Heartfelt thanks to Interim Healthcare & Hospice staff for your expertise in guiding us through this journey. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Our Lady of Mercy Country Home in memory of Marilyn.
